Description
Made in Latvia. With love for home and our land.
Pine house candle holders with inscriptions printed in black. Available in two colours, sizes and designs:
- White, 15 cm tall – with the inscription "Mājas ir tur, kur tava sirds" (Home is where your heart is)
- Gray (RAL 7046), 11 cm tall – with the inscription "Mājas" (Home)
A heartfelt and symbolic wooden house candle holder. The minimalist design and elegant inscriptions about home make it a special interior decoration with emotional meaning. A beautiful gift with special meaning! Home is more than a place – it is the feelings, memories and belonging we carry with us wherever we are.
The house candle holder is especially suited for November, Latvia's month of patriotism, and as a heartfelt gift when visiting family and friends with a housewarming loaf (sālsmaize).
It is a small but emotionally meaningful gift that reminds of home, belonging and one's roots. For example, for Latvians abroad – a small piece of Latvia that reminds them of home and their roots.
Also a great gift for Mother's Day, a housewarming, a birthday, a wedding anniversary or Christmas.
The house candle holder fits into both modern and classic interiors and makes a beautiful decoration all year round.

Natural wood properties
- Each house candle holder has a one-of-a-kind shape and a unique natural pattern, or wood texture. Wood is a living material, and its grain directions, tone differences and small imperfections are part of the natural beauty and charm of wood.
- These house candle holders are made of glued pine beams. The paint is applied in a single coat to keep the look of natural wood, so the glue lines of the material may be visible in places. This is not a defect but a property of the material.
- These natural differences are not defects but properties of solid wood that make each candle holder one of a kind.
- Wood is a natural, living material – grain directions and imperfections are part of its natural charm. Wood changes constantly, which affects the colour and structure of the product.
- This product will keep changing throughout its life. Proper care of wooden products is important, so a detailed explanation is included in the "Product care" section.
- Due to the properties of natural wood, small yellowish, slightly sticky resin spots may appear on the surface over time. They are not visible during production, and whether they appear depends on the individual piece of wood. They may appear on some products and not on others.
Product care
Product care
Care tip: resin spots can be gently removed with a soft cloth and a furniture cleaner suitable for painted wooden surfaces. Do not scrub hard, so as not to damage the paint. Test the cleaner on a less visible spot before use.
Best suited for candles 20–23 mm in diameter. Avoid dripping paraffin candles; choose stearin or good-quality wax candles instead.
Wood can swell and shrink as temperature and humidity change. Keep all wooden products at least one metre away from direct heat sources (heaters, radiators, fireplaces, etc.). Direct sunlight may cause loss of the original colour and deformation. Remove spilled liquids from wooden surfaces as soon as possible. Clean with a clean, dry cloth made of cotton or another material.
CANDLES
The house candle holders fit candles 20–23 mm in diameter. Avoid dripping paraffin candles; choose stearin or good-quality wax candles instead. Air movement causes uneven burning, so any candle may start to drip if placed in a draught. Dripped paraffin is hard to remove from a wooden surface; remove it with a plastic scraper once the paraffin has hardened.
COPPER
Untreated copper darkens over time, like coins, turning green, brown and eventually black. Various spots may form on the surface (a patchy look); it is not a painted product with a uniform appearance. It can be cleaned with any cleaner intended for copper. Very light sanding with fine-grit sandpaper may also help. Copper is a soft metal that scratches fairly easily, like most precious metals.
